The dignitaries on the occasion included great souls from the Ramakrishna Mission such as Sadhu Bikramananda ji, Vedasananda ji and Kunjalata didi. The chief guest of the occasion was the principal Mr. Ravindranath Savdeykar sir, to whom the mothers of the class X students and the guests were welcomed warmly. Excerpts from the Speech by Principal Savdeykar: Mothers are angels who sacrifice themselves for their children in many ways and have no parallel on earth. I felt that the Matri Puja was a very touching representation of the feelings and emotions espousing motherly love and devotion. By such practices, VKV School not only gives credence to the importance of maternal affection but also cultivates in students appreciation and esteem of mothers, particularly as indispensable figures in students’ lives and education.
