Sunbeam School was established in the year 1972 by Dr ‘Amrit Lal ‘Ishrat Madhok and Mrs ‘Deesh ‘Ishrat Madhok both the educationist felt the need of an independent school in Varanasi which could fulfill all the educational requirements of student. The school began its operation at a rented out house, with a vision and zeal to grow bigger and better. Thus, starting from a small number of students and teachers, Sunbeam being able to gain its recognition, develop a wider enrolment, increase educational quality and gain appreciation from a broad community. Due to growth it had to shift from the original place to suit the growing number of students as well as the facilities. Sunbeam School therefore holds a mission of offering an education that is not only academic but also a wholesome one to the learners. Based on the founders’ vision, the school has grown to be a nurturing institution that foster curiosity, creativity, and moral principles of the learners. As for the aims and objectives, Sunbeam School incorporates primary education objectives with students’ development stressing on their future performance as leaders and responsible citizens who will be successful in a complex twenty-first century world.
