Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium Secondary School was started on June 29, 1982, with the initiation of the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association and named after Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a great freedom fighter. It started as a Porba recently, in the year 1982 was constructed on the compound of the Marathi Medium Primary School, later, it was started to give education to about 120 students along with the help of only 3 teachers, Now. Mrs. Sulabha Sule, a pride of the institution, and Mrs. Shobhana Bijoor, the founder and the first principal in its formative stage, sowed the basic seeds for nurturing it. The Primary Section has been administered by Mrs. Amita Bhide since 1994, whereas the Secondary Section has been under the administration of Mrs. Sharada Limaye since 1999 and both of them proved themselves remarkable to the development of the school. Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium Secondary School, aims to operate as an institution with the mission of presenting the students with a sound academic background on the foundation of moral principles.
