Initially the institution only had 102 learners in class UKG to class IV and the principal was Bro. Mani V. J. as its first Principal and Mrs. P. Chandra as Head Mistress, The institution started with fifty students. Sitting on the Highway between Roorkee and Haridwar – Rishikesh Tourist Destination it is just 7 Km from the District’s pride IIT Roorkee. Montfort School owns a peaceful kind of location in the middle of a garden and greenery with 11 acres of land. The Montfort School was started only in 1963, however, the Brothers of St. Gabriel were running already St. Gabriel’s Academy in the cantonment area of Roorkee. They wanted to open this new school because recently there has been a high demand and requests from the public thus they opened this new school 7km away from the other one. Montfort School intends to offer good education in a calm setting, which would bring out the best in the child.
