Khar Education Society was founded under the name of Khar Gujarati Minority Welfare Trust in the year of 1934 and from the beginning, it has been keeping itself involved in the education sector. It was set up as Bal-Mandir in 1930 & known as Sharda Mandir after 1933 at Khar, Mumbai Estd The society in the field of education amalgamating with My Pupils Own School started by Late Shri Jahangirji Vakil & Smt.Kunvarbai J.Vakil. It was renamed Shri M.M. Pupils Own School and Sharda Mandir, the institution has brought out generations and generations of talented deserving candidates for the country through out social work, industry, science, arts, and politics. Prominent examples include Mr. S. P. Godrej, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Ms. Falguni Pathak, and many other successful pass-outs who benefited society. With time, Khar Education Society has grown and they now have two SSC Schools, Two Junior College, One Degree College, and One ICSE & ISC School of CISCE affiliated. Society now attempts a new era with a program as Montessori next to the classes of kind garden, offering an education process from Nursery to Grade 12 levels.
