The School appropriately named as ‘JAGRUTI’ means awakening, was opened in the village community hall, on June 1986 with 54 students in class 8th. As the years passed the school grew in numbers of teachers and students. The school became GRANT IN AIDED on 17th June 1989(SSC) & on 12 December 1994 (HSC). Today there are 23 appointed teachers, 6 non teaching staff, 1 private teacher and a Gardener working in the school. There is also the hostel facility for the students of far-off villages. There are 150 boys in Jagruti Kumar Chhatralaya and 150 girls in Snehdhara Kanya Chhatralaya. In which 62 boys and 51 girls are given government grant through Samaj Kalyan. “Mandal Jagruti High School’, consists of 14 divisions with the strength of 800 plus students studying in 9th and 10th, 11th and 12th (Common and Science Stream). The aim of the school is to bring “Jagruti” - “Awakening” in people about life.
