The school intended to assist young students build interest towards learning and discover a sense of calling. Originally it was started at Ballowal but later in 1977 it shifted to its present house which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble C.M. Punjab Sh. Prakash Singh Badal. The school has gradually expanded its status and reputation in the succeeding years with the hardworking spirit and the sacrificial services of its Founder Chairman Sardar Prithpal Singh Ji Mankar, Former General Secretary Sardar Man Singh Samsher Ji, the First Principal of the school Sardar Satpal Singh Ji and the other worthy members and staff of the trust. They have stood firmly behind the school and have been helping it along the path of victory. Guru Teg Bahadur Public School has hit axioms that learning brings change and it works for the education of all, irrespective of the color, religion, sex and status in the society. It provides to the people equality of persons where someone from any background of life can come and have education as the key to a better life.
