Don Bosco School
The School closed down due to the Second World War but did not solve the spirit of the Salesians of Don Bosco. After the war ended in September 1945, the Salesians, led by the spirit of Don Bosco to act on the phrase “at once”, made the school operational on February 8th, 1948. Dr. Bhubaneswar Barua who was the Chief Guest presided over the reopening ceremony. It all began with 92 students in class I to IV and now Don Bosco School has made a remarkable growth. The school facilities were also occupied by Assam Civil Engineering School and Gauhati University during its early years. However, those early difficulties did not deter the school in its objectives of availing the best in education and to emulate the founder’s principles. Over the years, Don Bosco School has expanded and developed consistently to help shape the young people in the actual spirit of Salesian learning.
