Don Bosco Higher Secondary School
Father Don Bosco was born on 16 august 1815 in Becchi, a small hamlet in the territory of Castelnuovo, in the province of Piedmont, in Italy. He was born out of the poor family background and he struggled in his early life to join priesthood in 1841. The founder of the order of doctrinal male religious, Saint Don Bosco invested his entire livelihood towards rescuing boys and specially the poor. He made them eat, slept with them and educated them trying to make their lives better through care and hard working. Consequently, in virtue of such exemplary living, Venerable was declared Don Bosco through a decree of Pius X on the July 21, 1907, saint by IX Pius in 1934, finally, Pontiff John Paul II baptized Don Bosco as Father and Teacher of Youth. Some of the Institutions include technical schools, hostels, and other Institutions which he established with the support of philanthropic people. He also created society of collaborators to take his mission to other levels even further. Don Bosco’s dream is still at work to the lives and exists to this day as the Salesian society maintains to be active in shaping the future of the poor through education.
